As of 2010, China has installed more than 500,000 LED street lamps in 81 cities. How did this 500,000 bucks result?

First of all, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the outline of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for urban green lighting, clarified the improvement of urban lighting quality and energy saving standards, reduced the unit energy consumption of lighting, and proposed that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, urban green lighting The promotion of LED and LED should be greatly improved. All localities must accelerate the demonstration and promotion of new products and new technologies such as semiconductor lighting and renewable energy, and realize the transformation of urban lighting development methods.

Followed by the promotion of LED lighting application demonstration project. Through the demonstration, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, together with the China Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport, initiated 50 demonstration projects of LED lighting applications and improved a series of standard specifications, such as urban landscape lighting and street lighting, and revised some obsolete regulations that impede LED applications. The fourth is the introduction of an energy service company model to advance the overall development of the LED street lighting market. The budget of a municipal service company that originally managed street lamps is limited. To apply for a lamp modification, it is necessary to re-report an increase in budget. The cycle needs at least a year and the financial burden is increased. After the intervention of the energy service company, the municipal service company could not make any money and only put the electricity cost saved by modifying the LED every year into the energy service company, and ensure that the investment cost can be recovered after several years. Since China has introduced preferential policies for exempting energy service companies and banks are willing to lend to them, EMC's combination of LED is a good promotion model.

Today's LED

Compared with yesterday, the application and development of LED today is more favorable. The first is that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period in China, to achieve the transformation of the economic growth model, promotion of green lighting is undoubtedly an important part of China’s industrial upgrading and transformation. Secondly, from the local perspective, LED lighting industry as an emerging industry has also been strongly supported by governments at all levels. The third is that 70% to 80% of the original LED production capacity must rely on export sales to find a way out. Due to the impact of foreign debt on the European debt crisis, various countries have reduced their existing LED application projects. LED domestic demand is undoubtedly "bad things get better." Right now, what we need to accomplish is the following aspects:

The first is to strengthen the close coordination between departments and localities. Promote the integration of LED resources through technological innovation and accelerate the promotion.

The fourth is to accelerate the application of LED in green buildings and low-carbon residences. Green buildings and low-carbon residences are the future development direction. They have irreplaceable comprehensive benefits in terms of energy saving, land saving, material saving, water saving, and optimization of indoor air quality. The current rapid development of green buildings around the country is about to be introduced in China. Incentive mechanisms, many cities are also discussing the introduction of green building star rating methods. One of the key technologies is the full application of LED lighting.

Fifth, the energy-saving service company model can speed up the promotion of LED lighting. The ESC model may be established or newly established by the original company. This business model can bypass problems such as building and street lamp renovation project approvals and financial appropriations. As long as the saved electricity fees are used as compensation for energy-saving service companies investing in the retrofitting of old lamps and lanterns, the investment can be recovered and profitable for several years.

Sixth, the joint selection of "green lighting" model cities. The green lighting demonstration cities can be divided into different stars. Tomorrow's LED

As China is in a period of rapid urbanization, the city’s population will increase by more than 10 million each year, and street lamps will increase by 1.2 million to 1.5 million. If the new street lights in the city are all adopted by LED, some of the old street lights and landscape lighting will be changed to LED lighting, and the potential and development prospects of this can be imagined.

The first is to promote LED lighting in residential buildings. China, as a big country in the construction industry, builds 2 billion square meters of new buildings each year, which is equivalent to half of the world's new buildings in China. Each building unit must have at least 20 lights. In addition, during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the government must provide protection. Room 36 million sets, which will have the application potential of 500-600 million LED lights. According to experts' estimates, if 30% use LED lighting, more than 10 billion kWh can be saved. Compared with other energy-saving projects, the potential of LED lamps is even more impressive. For example, changing 50% of the national electric motor to a high-efficiency motor can save 3.4 billion kWh of electricity.

Followed by the vast potential of rural market applications. At present, the most pressing issue is that nearly 20 million rural households lack electricity and electricity. If these households use solar energy and LED integration to replace the power supply of the large power grid, the annual electricity savings will reach more than 50 billion kWh. If the individual solar photovoltaic and LED lighting are integrated, each household only needs 1600 yuan to solve the lighting problem, and the maintenance cost is relatively low. Coupled with the 20,000 or so small towns that accommodate nearly half of China’s urbanized population, the market for LED promotion is also very large.
