As the strategic emerging industrial project with the largest investment since the upgrade of Wuhu High-tech Industrial Development Zone to “Nationalâ€, Liyin Company reached a cooperation agreement with the district management committee in February this year. The project plans to invest 6 billion yuan in 5 years, plan to build 200,000 square meters of factory buildings, introduce more than 100 MOCVD equipment and supporting production lines, and mass produce gallium nitride high-brightness blue-green LEDs.
The first phase of the project will invest 680 million yuan, and 12 MOCVD will be introduced within one year, with an annual output of 570,000 LED epitaxial wafers and chips. It is estimated that after all projects are put into production, it will produce more than 5 million LED epitaxial wafers and chips per year, achieving an output value of 16 billion yuan.
It is understood that Taiwan Liyin Co., Ltd. has been established for 30 years and has rich experience in LED epitaxial technology. In 2010, it became a strategic partner with TOP Engineering Group, a well-known listed company in Korea, and used the high-end technology of both parties to jointly develop the green lighting market.
