Case 1 - Baoding Drainage Pump Station Monitoring Project
Baoding City Drainage Corporation is responsible for the rainwater, sewage discharge and sewage treatment in the entire Baoding city, and has a total of 31 rain/sewage pumping stations and 3 sewage treatment plants.
For a long time, each pumping station and sewage treatment plant has developed its own system and operated independently, forming an island of information. In the past, due to the fact that management was completely dependent on labor and information was not delivered in a timely manner, it often caused various operational and maintenance failures. Drainage system is not only difficult to manage, has low implementation efficiency, but also has poor social influence and high manual management costs. In order to completely solve the above problems, Baoding Drainage Corporation invested and built a digital information management platform in 2012.
Communications network
According to the actual situation of the rain/sewage pumping station and the sewage treatment plant, the field equipment adopts two monitoring methods:
1. Monitoring points of pumping stations collect various signals of on-site pumps, valves, meters, and audio and video equipment through the monitoring equipment of the drainage pump station, and realize long-distance transmission of data and audio and video through the optical fiber network.
2. All kinds of equipment and instrument data in the sewage treatment plant have been collected in the plant's central control room. Data is then automatically acquired from the configuration software of the central control room through data communication software, and the data and live video are transmitted to the digital information through the optical fiber network. Pump station process
The following takes the East Second Ring Sewage Pumping Station as an example to understand the process of the drainage pump station under the project.

There are 2 grid machines, 4 drainage pumps and 1 set of conveyors in the pumping station. 1 electric valve is installed in the front and rear pipelines of each grid machine. Equipment function


(1) Drainage pump station monitoring equipment is installed at the pump station site to monitor the front and back water level of the grid machine; monitor the discharge flow rate of each drainage pump; monitor the start/stop status, control mode, voltage, current, and protection status of the drainage pump.
(2) Support manual control, automatic control, remote control of drainage pump, electric valve, grille machine, start and stop of conveyor, support remote switching control mode.
(3) Intelligently control the rotation of the drainage pump to achieve balanced wear of all pumps and extend the service life of the equipment.
(4) Adopting the distributed control mode, each pumping station uses a main controller, each drainage pump uses a sub-controller, and whether the sub-controller is put into use can be controlled.
(5) Optical fiber communication is used to support image and audio monitoring. Four video cameras, four pickups and one loudspeaker are deployed to realize the real-time voice talk between the pump station and the center; GPRS serves as a standby communication channel.
(6) Self-contained touch PC, through the configuration interface to display the working status and working parameters of various devices on the site.
(7) Timely storage of site monitoring information for future reference.
(8) Active alarms, such as: water level overrun, changes in the pump operating status, current and voltage overruns, etc.

Case 2 - Drainage Pumping Station Monitoring Project in a City of Jilin
The Smart Drainage Information System is an important part of the construction of a smart city in Jilin City in 2016. It consists of two parts: a software system and a hardware system.
The software system includes: comprehensive monitoring of drainage, statistical analysis of data management, special plans for flood prevention, facilities management and maintenance, and other systems.

The hardware system includes: construction of monitoring center platform, construction of monitoring facilities for drainage pumping stations, and building of intelligent sensing devices for important nodes of rainwater sewerage.

There are 3 grille machines installed in the grille room of the pumping station. Each grille machine is equipped with 1 set of electric gates before and after, and it is manually controlled according to the front and back water levels of the grille machine. The sump is equipped with six drainage pumps, five for one, and the number of pumps is determined according to the water level, of which two are variable frequency control and four are soft-start controls. Each pump outlet is equipped with an electric valve, and a local pump control box and a valve control box are installed on the site. There are 2 mixers installed in the sump, and the mixer control box is mounted on the wall of the pump room. There is also a water level detection device installed in the sump. The pumping station is also equipped with one presser and one conveyor. Communications network

Beidaihe Drainage Management Co., Ltd. has jurisdiction over 7 rain/sewage pumping stations. In early 2010, the construction of a remote monitoring system for pumping stations was started and put into use before May 1 of the same year.
