What industrial fields use flowmeters? “If you can't measure it, you can't manage it.†This is a mantra in the industrial field, especially for flow measurement. In short, there is an increasing demand for flow monitoring, often requiring higher speed and accuracy monitoring. In several areas, industrial flow measurement is important, such as domestic waste. As people pay more and more attention to environmental protection, in order to make our world cleaner and less polluted, waste disposal and monitoring become very important. Humans consume a lot of water, and as the global population grows, water use will increase. Such applications often require measurement of flow in the presence of large amounts of solids – most flow technologies cannot easily meet this requirement. In the field of transport metering, product transfer and payment between the two parties is required, and high-end flow meters are required. One example is the delivery of oil through a large piping system. In this application, even small changes in flow measurement accuracy over time can result in loss or significant benefit to one party. Electromagnetic induction technology is ideal for liquid flow measurement Electromagnetic flowmeter technology has several advantages for liquid flow measurement. Its sensors are typically connected to the pipe and have a diameter that is consistent with the pipe diameter so that it does not interfere with or limit the flow of the media. Since the sensor is not directly immersed in the liquid, there are no moving parts, so there is no wear problem. The electromagnetic method measures volumetric flow, which means that the measurement is insensitive to changes in parameters such as fluid density, temperature, pressure, and viscosity. Once the electromagnetic flowmeter is calibrated with water, it can be used to measure other types of conductive fluid without further calibration. This is an important advantage that other types of flowmeters do not have. Electromagnetic flowmeters are particularly suitable for measuring solid-liquid two-phase media, such as mud or high-conductivity media with suspended soil, solid particles, fibers or viscous materials. It can be used to measure sewage, mud, pulp, pulp, chemical fiber pulp and other media. This makes it particularly suitable for the food, pharmaceutical and other industries, using it to measure corn syrup, juice, alcohol, drugs, plasma and many other special media. The working principle of electromagnetic flowmeter The working principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. According to Faraday's law, when a conductive fluid flows through the magnetic field of the sensor, an electromotive force proportional to the volume flow is generated between the pair of electrodes, the direction of which is perpendicular to the flow direction and the magnetic field.
