However, the author learned from several lighting markets in Taiyuan City that most of the household lamps, floor lamps, and craft lamps currently distributed in the market are still Class 0 lamps.

A lighting dealer introduction: Identifying 0 types of lamps mainly depends on the wrapping of their wires. These products generally have only one layer of rubber. Such simple insulation measures make some lamps (table lamps, floor lamps) have aging or damage of the insulation during use, which is easy to cause electric shock to the user, and the safety hazard is great. Compared with Class 0 lamps, Class I lamps, in addition to the basic insulation, also connect the easily accessible conductive parts to the grounding device, which is much safer, and the safety performance of Class II and Class III is higher.

The author saw in several lighting stores in a decorative market in Xinghua Street that the wires of some lamps are mostly slender, and the plugs are double-ended and have no grounding end. When the author asked the owner about the security level of a desk lamp, the owner was very confused and asked: "The lights are still classified. I have never heard of it."

The dealers don't know the standard, and the consumers don't know the standard. In the small appliance area of ​​a shopping mall, the author asked several citizens who were choosing the lamp to know whether they understood the anti-shock protection category of household lamps. The respondents looked blank. According to industry sources, the most common household lamps in Taiyuan currently have table lamps, floor lamps, etc., of which 0 types of lamps account for more than 70%.

Industry and quality inspectors said that the Class 0 lamps that have been produced before the implementation of the new standards can still be distributed in the market, but remind everyone to purchase high-quality lamps to prevent accidents caused by the use of lamps with low safety performance.
