He graduated from the photography department of the Beijing Film Academy in 1982. After graduation, he stayed at the school and taught in the film. Among the fifth-generation film director photographers in China, he created for non-multilateral teaching. In 1990, he won the full prize to the Art Institute of Chicago, USA, and the film department pursued a master's degree. During his stay in the United States, he founded Huaxia TV Station and served as the chief editor of the Taiwanese. After returning to China, he was transferred to the Communication University of China as the director of the photography department, director of the film laboratory, professor, master tutor, and doctoral tutor. He has photographed "The Female Handsome Male Soldier", "Black Eyes", "The Ballet of Two People", "The Lotus" and so on. Among them, "Black Eyes" and "Female Handsome Male Soldiers" and many other films won the China Film China Watch Award and the Five One Engineering Award "Ballet for Two People", and he won the Best Picture Award for the Chinese Film Golden Rooster Award.
Moderator: Teacher Liang, like the works we just saw, are all the works you have taken. We can also feel the art of light and shadow. That's like you are in the process of shooting, how do you think about the effect of using these lights to highlight the film?

Just now we saw some fragments of the film. I think, in a sense, the art of film is the art of light. For example, if you don't have light, this art form itself cannot exist. Of course, what we are studying now is not the existence itself, but how we use light to show the psychological emotions of the characters, how to promote the deepening of the plot, how to mobilize the emotions of the audience, and let him integrate into our works of art. Then infected, it may be that we have to be in the light, there is something that is these technologies, in fact, is very important for a lighting engineer.
Moderator: As I talk about the lighting division industry, many people don't know much about it. I think lighting is not just lighting. Just light up the light. In fact, how do you think about this? What?

Yes, now the general public thinks that the light is illuminated. Such a basic concept. In fact, I think, the more developed our movie, we are now making big movies, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, then the light is here, it is actually a very strong role. It is not only a function of lighting, it also has to shape the image of the characters, to promote the development of the plot, and at the same time to express the psychological emotions of the characters. For example, if you say a horror film, your horror film, or an actor, you can make some horrible expressions. This is not touching. You must use light, use this kind of shaking light, etc., and then you can create a terror atmosphere. Reach the horror film infection of people.

Teacher Liang: In the past, we should say that there is no such profession as lighting art in our country. Therefore, in 2005, we reported to the Ministry of Education, officially approved, lighting art major, counted as a major in our undergraduate education.
