With regard to the topic of system shutdown, we have previously been concerned with fast shutdown, scheduled automatic shutdown, and the like. But sometimes we may want to prevent automatic shutdown for some reason. In addition, since the shutdown operation leaves a record in the system, it also wants to find a shutdown method that leaves no trace.

1. Prevent various automatic "shutdown"

The "shutdown" here is a generic one, including automatic sleep, automatic restart of the upgrade, automatic restart of the fault, automatic shutdown, etc. that often occurs in the Windows system. However, the work we engage in may sometimes not allow interruptions, and therefore we do not want the above events to happen. To prevent similar situations on your system, use Dont Sleep software to prevent these events from happening.

hint:

Dont Sleep software defaults to the English interface, in fact, it has a secret Chinese switch - a small but a small # in the lower right corner of the interface, click it to pop up the language selection menu, select "Simplified Chinese" to the software Chinese (Figure 1) .

To prevent system shutdown due to standby, sleep, hibernation, screensavers, etc., just click the Please Don't Sleep tab on the main software interface, and then select the appropriate options under the "Block Program" group. Note that to make the program work, check the Enable radio button, and then click Shrink to tray to make the program live (Figure 2)

The above operation is an unconditional full-time limit setting, that is, as long as the system is in a running state, it will always prevent these behaviors from occurring. If you wish to prevent the action from being released at a certain point in time, select the "Use timer" check box under the "Timer" group, then select the date and time of the stop stop in the list above and select "Exit" from the list below And stop blocking option, this option ensures the user's flexible custom control of the "shutdown" blocking behavior, and can better coordinate the relationship between work and energy saving. There are six options for executable operations, and the applications vary. For example, if you need to prevent all "shutdown" behavior during work, automatically shut down when the work is completed, select "Exit and shutdown"; if you are concerned about the process to prevent shutdown after the completion of the work, select "Exit and forced shutdown"; if you want to work After disabling the above disablement and leaving the system in standby/hibernation mode, select “Exit and Standby/Sleep”.

2. Turn off without leaving any trace

The quick start is based on the content of the shutdown reservation, that is to say before leaving the shutdown to include the operating record traces and start the required files. However, for a system account shared by multiple people, no trace of the operation is retained when exiting, which is very good for personal privacy protection. To do this, you can modify the group policy to achieve the purpose of leaving no trace.

Press Win + R to enter the Run window, run the GPEDIT.MSC command, and start the Group Policy Editor. Select User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Desktop, and in the right pane you can see “Do not save settings when you logout.” Double-click this option (Figure 3). In the subsequent settings window, check the "Enabled" option and confirm. In this way, certain locations, sizes, and other settings made on the system desktop before shutting down will not be preserved. The next time you start up it will look as if no one has ever operated the system.
