LED indoor lighting or market competition for new focus

The reporter learned from the Foshan Lighting Association that on June 13th, the launch ceremony of Chancheng District LED Green Lighting Demonstration Project in Guangdong Province and Foshan LED Industry Development Forum will be held in Foshan.

It is understood that this launching ceremony was sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and hosted by the People's Government of Chancheng District, Foshan City. Since Chancheng District of Foshan City is one of the earliest LED display demonstration areas in Guangdong Province, after completing the replacement of a total length of 300 kilometers and more than 11,000 LED street lamps, the green lighting project of indoor LED lighting has become the focus of the next step.

“In Europe, LED lighting starts from the home interior, not the LED street lighting technology that is not yet mature. Moreover, residents in many European countries have high awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection. The government also provides subsidies for purchases.” Chairman of Foshan Lighting Association Wu Yulin stated that the start of the domestic LED market is first driven by the government's green projects, and the market for indoor LED lighting is actually more promising than LED street lamps.

Previously, the Foshan Lighting Association officially signed a contract with the Zumiao Temple. The latter has free to undertake the LED green lighting project to transform the Zumiao Museum and become the first LED green lighting project demonstration site in Chancheng. According to the "Foshan City Construction" "Guangdong Province Green Lighting Demonstration City" announced last year, Chancheng plans to promote the use of 100 million pieces of indoor LED lighting products this year and next year, referred to as the "Wan Jiayi" program.

The renovation of indoor lighting will promote the listing of more than two companies to promote the project. Chancheng led the LED industry development alliance with Guoxing Optoelectronics, Foshan Lighting, Lanjian, and Casey Europe led by the Foshan Lighting Association. The alliance has developed two alliance standards for indoor bulbs and indoor turn-based lights and is studying the standard of panel lights. The Chancheng District Economic Development Bureau stated: “To become a tender target for the “One Million Billion Dollars” project, we must meet the standards of this alliance.”

In addition, according to the Chancheng District LED Industry Development Plan (2011-2015), in the application areas such as municipal roads, highways, tunnels, public squares, and public underground spaces, in addition to the contract revenue, the successful bidder can obtain the cost of lighting fixtures. 15% subsidy (not more than 3 million yuan per year for each town and street).

The transformation of the street lamp in the entire area was completed with more than 5 LED lamps. Luchen City promoted the green lighting renovation project from December 2008. It spent a total of 90 million yuan and has transformed more than 12,500 LED street lamps. In the two batches of transformations before this year, the proportion of local branded LED street lights used was closely related to the rise of LED companies in the region.

The first batch of more than 6,000 LED street lamps invested in RMB 36 million was transformed from Dongguan and Guangzhou. Chancheng District Economic Promotion Bureau, the relevant personage said: "At that time, Foshan lacks a large brand of LED street lamps. We can only cooperate with Dongguan Qinshang and a Guangzhou LED company. More than 5,000 of them come from the ground."

In 2009, LED packaging giant Guoxing Optoelectronics set up a lighting product division to enter the downstream of LED. Foshan Lighting also began to transition to LED. In the second batch of street lighting transformations followed by Chancheng, Chancheng spent 54 million yuan to transform more than 9,800 street lamps.

Chancheng LED companies have "embarked"

Recently, Nanhai LED has been continuously introduced into production projects. In contrast, Chancheng LED has few major projects. The first batch of street lamps in Chancheng City did not have a single LED source from the mainland, but with the rise of local companies, more than 70% of the second batch of retrofit lamps came from companies in the area. As analyzed by the Chancheng District Economic Promotion Bureau, the renovation project has created a huge market demand and has driven the development of local LED companies. .

As local companies have developed, why should they use foreign products again? It can be foreseen that local companies will usher in goodwill in the future transformation project of Chancheng. This point can be seen from the indoor lighting tender threshold standards.
