NEC provides integrated wireless LAN voice system to Shanghai Peninsula Hotel

NEC today announced that it will provide a comprehensive network system for transmitting voice and data over the wireless regional network for the Shanghai Peninsula Hotel, which has world-class luxury facilities and brand-new communication equipment.

This network system is the first project in Asia except Japan that uses the communication server SV8500 hotel solution and wireless local area network system. This system provides a brand-new IT environment for the Shanghai Peninsula Hotel and adjacent high-end apartments. The wireless local area network covers 99.9% of the facilities, IP phones, property management systems and hotel extra-low voltage systems (ELV) in the hotel. In addition, the system uses the SV8500 communication solution as the core, connecting two large-scale networks of hotels and high-end apartments, so that hotel guests and apartment guests can enjoy the best quality services provided by the hotel.

In addition, NEC provides a top-notch wireless IP telephone Terminal MH250, which allows the hotel staff to have close communication and contingency, enhance the mobility of staff in Peninsula Hotel services, and more effectively cater to the needs of hotel and apartment guests. At the same time, it is also equipped with a fixed phone and IP corresponding multi-function phone-IP Phone DT700 series set in the logistics office for employees to use.

The main functions of the new equipment include:

1. Wireless regional network voice integrated system

The network is equipped with 2000 wireless LAN access points (Wireless LAN Access Point)-WL1500-AP, and 220 wireless IP phones for hotel attendants-Terminal MH250. Through this network, it can be seamlessly connected to the hotel server for room reservation management and staff rotation management and the message server for sending messages, which realizes the close communication between hotel employees and hotel guests and apartment guests. NEC also solves the problems in network and line design. The wireless network bridge is hidden behind the ceiling and the wall, and will not affect the overall interior design. The wireless network also covers the hotel to 99.9%.

2. Provide a brand new network for the hotel

This IP telephone server SV8500 has a special SIP protocol (Open SIP Interface), which can integrate other applications in the hotel industry. The new wireless IP telephone Terminal MH250 is equipped with a real-time SMS function, which can be combined with guest check-in and check-out procedures, and sends the guest's room number and name to the floor attendant's wireless IP phone, so that the service staff can provide guests service. In addition, when hotel guests and apartment guests select room service, the hotel server will send business instruction information to the appropriate service staff according to the current duty personnel information, quickly meet the needs of guests, and save the human resources for hotel services.
