TE launches three new connectors for the ECONOMY POWER 2.5 series

TE Connectivity ( TE ) has announced three new products for its popular Economy Power 2.5 (EP 2.5) connector family: single-row, dual-row wire-to-wire connectors and dual-row wire-to-board connectors . TE also equips new products with fully automatic and semi-automatic crimping dies for customers to choose from, thus eliminating the need for customers to develop their own crimping dies and bring complete solutions.

Denise Quinnette, Director of Global Power and Signal Interconnect Products at TE's Home Appliances Business Unit, said, "As end products become more complex and the time-to-market requirements for products increase, manufacturers need to be flexible in both design and manufacturing. Connector solutions to stay competitive and lead the way in innovation. The newly released TE EP 2.5 product line has been greatly enhanced in connector performance to help home appliances (including refrigerators, dishwashers and Manufacturers of air conditioners, etc.) stand at the forefront of technological innovation."

Three new products (ie double-row wire-to-board connectors, dual-row wire-to-wire connectors and single-row wire-to-wire connectors) have a 2.5 mm (0.098") terminal pitch and are available with TE's existing EP 2.5 products. Features include high-efficiency plastic plugs, terminals, connection sockets and terminal lock inserts (TPA).

Other features of the TE EP 2.5 connector product line include:

· The external lock on the plug molded case ensures tight fit with the socket. · The error-proof insertion and embossing table on the plug and socket helps to avoid mismatching the matching time. Anti-winding feature prevents the wire from being wound around the lock. Upper · Asymmetrical shape ensures correct connection (terminal can only be plugged into the socket from one end)

All TE EP 2.5 models offer products that meet the glow wire requirements of IEC 60335-1.
