Toshiba has introduced 40V N-channel power MOSFETs for automotive applications such as DC-DC converters, electric power steering (EPS) high-capacity motor drives and semiconductor relays. For designers, lower on-resistance means lower conduction losses, which reduces power consumption, especially in heavy-duty situations. The new product is packaged in a low-impedance TO-220SM(W) package using Toshiba's state-of-the-art 9th generation MOS "U-MOS IX Series" trench process to achieve low on-resistance.
