Yangzhou approved new smart grid demonstration project

The construction plan of the “Smart Grid Comprehensive Demonstration Project” in Yangzhou Development Zone passed the review of State Grid Corporation. This means that Yangzhou and Beijing Science and Technology City of the future, Jiangxi Gongqingcheng together, took the first train of smart grid construction.

The Smart Grid Demonstration Park in Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone includes grid-connected photovoltaic power generation, integrated condition monitoring system for power transmission and transformation equipment, intelligent substation, distribution automation, power consumption information collection system, intelligent community/building, electric vehicle charging facilities and smart grid operation. 11 sub-projects such as the visualization platform and grid connection are expected to invest more than RMB 500 million in the entire project and will be completed by the end of next year.
